The Autumn Careers and Placements Fair

The Careers and Placements Service are delighted to be welcoming on campus top employers looking to recruit graduates and placement students for their 2013/14 intake. They represent all sectors including business, creative, engineering, finance, healthcare, IT, law and media, and range from global corporations such as Nissan, Tesco.com, BAE Systems and Xerox, to SMEs and not -for- profit organisations.

As well as opportunities for jobs, the fair offers more general information on different professions, job application processes and advice for students considering further study and training. All years and disciplines are encouraged to attend – book your place now via CareerHub, where you can also find a list of employers who will be at the fair, as well as the presentation schedules.

  • Get expert advice from industry leaders including GSK, Vauxhall, GE Healthcare, Ocado, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Tesco, Nissan and many more
  • Network with recruiting employers
  • See live job vacancies displayed
  • Develop your employability skills in our tailored workshops
  • Get advice with recruitment process

There will also be a free BBQ taking place on the day. As long as you have registered for the fair, you can come along to either one of our offices (M018 at de Havilland, LB400 at College Lane) to collect a voucher. Simply take this voucher along to the fair with you to collect your free food! There are a limited number available so make sure to get yours soon!
On the day, there will be vouchers up for grabs – come early to pick up your Exhibitor Guide from M018.  You will find a strip of raffle tickets inside this guide – remember to hand one in at every presentation you attend at the fair, to be in with a chance of winning vouchers.

We would also like to tell you about the Networking Skills workshop we have taking place on Monday 22nd October, from 11am to 12pm, N110 at the de Havilland campus. Using your networking skills can be a great way to access the hidden job market – this workshop will cover how to network effectively and how to use networking skills to your advantage. It’s great preparation for the Careers and Placements Fair.
